With 300 days of sunshine around the year, pack lightweight clothing. In winter the days are warm, and the nights are cool. We call it cardigan weather. You rarely need a coat, but you will need some knitwear or jackets to layer. Here’s a handy checklist:
- Two swimsuits (alternate between drying/wearing)
- Loads of sunscreen
- Hat
- Comfy shoes for walking
- Thongs for beach
- Sandals for outings
- Sarong that doubles as towel/dress/scarf
- Sunglasses
- A big lightweight bag (for flight/beach/market/shopping)
- Pjs that double as daywear
- Headphones and a good book

You certainly can! Although our packages are listed with a particular number of nights, the Queensland Experts at My Queensland can add extra nights onto any package that you desire (if there is availability). You can book your holiday well in advance at My Queensland! You’ll find our packages include travel dates up to ten months in advance. Flight schedules from Australia’s capital cities to our incredible destinations are released approximately every ten months. As soon as this happens, we package together our unbeatable deals for you! Start daydreaming about your next holiday now. We’ll help you plan it ASAP.
So, you’ve made an online enquiry or booked your holiday, but you haven’t received an email or itinerary from us yet. It’s possible that your itinerary has landed in Junk or Spam. If you’ve checked and you still can’t find your itinerary, please contact your My Queensland Expert today.
All drivers, regardless of where you travel, must hold a current, non-probationary licence from their country of residence. If you are on your Learners or Provisional Licence, you will not be able to hire a car. Contact a friendly My Queensland Expert for more information.
Please mark your calendar with the final payment due date to ensure the amount is paid before the due date. For final payments, they are due no later than 65 days prior to departure. At 70 days prior to departure (five days before due date), we send an email to you with a payment link that is valid for 10 days, and an SMS to advise you of your upcoming balance. You will receive a reminder if it becomes overdue.
Your day tours are pre-booked for the dates shown on your itinerary. The dates can be changed subject to availability. You would need to contact the supplier a minimum of 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure.
Travel documents will be emailed to you two weeks prior to departure. This includes itinerary, flight confirmation, and any vouchers for tours.
Once you have paid your deposit there is nothing else you need to do except arrange for your balance to be paid 65 days prior to departure. Once your balance is paid, we then email your travel documents approximately two weeks prior to departure.
